I think it is safe to say . . .
. . . That we are finally bringing home a horse!
I'm going to be doing an off-farm lease with Dude, a 9-12 year old buckskin 3/4 Quarter Horse 1/4 TB. He's a big friendly boy, about 16.3hh, and one of the smoothest horses I've ever ridden. He has been out of work for about six months, and I'm going to start jumping training with him after he gets back in shape.
We'll probably be taking him to my trainer's farm in two weeks, and we'll stay there for a month or so, so she can check him out and start us off on the right track. Then we'll be taking him closer to home :D
I'm very excited!
Holy his color is beautiful!
Side note: it looks like his feet need a good trimming
With a little trimming, I think he'll be right handsome!
Congrats on your purchase! It's always uber exciting! :D
Nice looking boy - congrats and have fun with him :)
These are the pictures the owner sent me, he was trimmed up very well today:) They were taken a few weeks after Sandy, and the farrier hadn't been able to get out. Some of the houses in that area stilll don't have power and are totally flooded.
I'm going to be leasing him for about two years (up until I leave for college), however I'll have the ability to buy him later on. The owner is afraid of where Dude will end up if she sells him.
Beautiful! Congratulations and enjoy him :)
Congrats, he's handsome!
What a striking fellow! I hope that the two of you have a fabulous time together!
