What clippers do you use?

I'm looking at purchasing a pair of clippers soon to use on both horses and my dog. I'm wondering what type you guys prefer. I do prefer cord over cordless, but that's my only preference, really. Thank you so much!

Since you want to use them on the dog also, I'd recommend Oster Turbo A5, two speed corded clippers. I love mine.

I use an Andis clipper, please if you haven't clipped your dog before be careful and take it slow

I use Whal Iron Horse clippers. They are not over $60.00 and yet they can withstand anything I throw at them. Roaching a mane, full body clipping, ect.

Totally agree with Dreamcatcher Arabians. I LOVE my Oster A-5s. I use them for everything from body clipping the horse to shaving mats off the cats. They are extremely durable. My recent pair has lasted me through many show seasons as well as off season use.

Thanks for all the responses, guys!

I'm not sure about clippers that are good for horses and dogs but as far as equine clippers go, I recently got a pair of Wahl Arco SE clippers and they are AMAZING!! Omg I am in love with them!! They are cordless which I prefer for horses because you don't have to worry about them getting tangled up or anything like that. As far as dogs go I really don't know but for horses I love those clippers!
Hope this helped!

I recently ordered that exact clipper - should be here any day - glad to hear someone here speak well of them. Can't wait to get them and start using them.

Ditto the Osters. I have used A5's for the last 20+ years. I have several of them, even the oldest pair of golden A5's still work well. The only time I don't use them is on one that is super noise sensitive and I clip his ears with a small bullet clipper that is much more quiet.

I have shorthairs so no dog clipping here but don't see any reason that they wouldn't work for that.
