Hi all(: I have a question. When I jump my leg swings back behind the girth quite a bit. I dont know how to stop doing that. Any ideas?
Have you practiced 2 point without stirrups?
I had a problem with this (still do if I am not paying attention) and it was mainly due to the fact that when getting up into 2 point position I was balancing in my stirrups instead of remaining contact through my thighs like I was supposed to. A lot of bareback riding and going over small ditches, cross rails and calvaletti while bareback helped that. Make sure you are using your leg strength to keep you lower leg still. Grip with your thighs.
