Doing a lease on this boy?
12 years old 16hh Thoroughbred gelding. He has jumped up to 4 feet but sometimes needs chiropractor appointments every few months because his "rear end is dragging a bit". What do you think? The lady is offering me a free lease because he used to be her personal show horse until her horse business grew and she couldn't ride him much besides in lessons. She wants him to be shown.
I would have him checked if drags his rear , is that medical or being lazy ? Does he do the drage the rear over smaller jumps ?
She said it was purely just annout of alignment thing and the chiropractor fixes him.

I really like his conformation; this is a horse I would purchase or lease. Nice legs, decent shoulder, balanced.
Looks like a good horse to me (:
Definitely get a vet check!! In my experience, any type of lameness in a lease situation is a no-go. We were on a free lease before, and especially with jumping, you don't want a horse that is inconsistent health-wise. It's a recipe for disaster.
