My First Jumper Show
Next Saturday I'm going to my first jumper show. I've schooled up to 3'9 at home, and I've shown ALOT of hunters and equitation. It's a scholling show. Can someone just tell me basically how they work?

For just jumpers, you'll get your number and they'll call out your number a few horses before you have to go in. Once it's your turn you'll enter the ring and do the initial round which isn't timed and is only based on faults. If you tie for faults with someone else then you go in to a timed jump off where both time and faults are counted. The fastest rider with the fewest faults wins! Just remember that speed isn't everything and a balanced turn that is sharper can shave off more time than just barreling around the course. I'm sure you knew that already, but it doesn't hurt for me to tell you anyway. :) Just remember to relax and have fun!
