Would like opinions please.

Please only give me your opinions of what you would do in this situation.
About a year or two ago I sold a horse to a lady. She said I could call her or even come see him anytime as it upset me to see him leave. Also her farther bought another one of my horses that he saw and liked. Anyways lately I have been trying to get a hold of her because I saw on horseclicks.com that she had sold him. Said she didnt have time for him. I have tried to email her though the site, call and text the phone numbers on the site and she wont answer anyway i try to contact her. I just want to make sure he has a good home and if not i would buy him back. I did not have any kind of contract. I know I was not thinking when I sold him this way. I have found her on facebook would you try to contact her that way? He is even in the profile picture. Im just so upset not knowing he is being taken care of. Please give me your opinions. Thank You !
Also PLEASE dont be rude to me I am already hurting for selling this horse and regret it more and more every day. Thank you

Not your horse anymore. You relinquished your responsibilities to the horse once you sold him. This person does not owe you anything regarding this horse. I'm sure thats tough to hear and not what you want to hear, but it is what it is. If you have made the attempt already to email her through the site, fine. But I wouldnt go stalking her facebook. That just makes you out to look crazy and desperate.

In your messages, do you ask that she give you the new owner's info and that you want nothing more from her? If she sees there are no other repercussions to answering you, then she may be more inclined. If your horse was registered, you may be able to contact the new owner through the registry.

I agree with wetrain17. Sorry, but he's not your horse anymore. I don't think I would appreciate a stranger approaching me to buy back a horse I just bought and have that person tell me that they just want a better home for him. Actually, I'd probably kick them off my property in a big hurry.

The person that you sold the horse to doesn't have any responsibility to you. You have no idea what might be going on in that person's life. Selling a horse might be just one little thing in a life that has turned upside down. Who can know?

Chalk it up to experience and let it go.

ITA with wetrain and NorthernMama - time to let it go and move on, there is nothing more for you to do.

Ok thank you all. I really needed to know what you all thought. I had a feeling thats what i need to do but i needed a little help to really know. I was so worried about the horse and how he was doing I never thought about the lady and how she felt about me trying to contact her out of the blue. I really appreciate all your responses. Thank You. Its time for me to let him go and hope and wish him the best for him and his new owners.

Agreed... nothing you can do now and stalking her on Facebook will probably make her avoid you even more. Sad and unfortunate but it is what it is. Time to move on... Good luck! There are plenty of horses out there that need your love too :)
