Why does my horse flex his neck so much?

My horse Sunny seams to flex his neck allot on his own! His neck usually makes a slight popping noise when he does it. Does this mean anything? I really can't figure it out! I'm going to ask my trainer next time I see her but that might not be for a while and I would really like to know if any of yall know anything about this!?!? Thanks!

Does it seem to bother your horse? If it doesn't bother him, I wouldn't jump right on his case. But if it does bother him - or you're worried about it - I would call the vet to get a check up.

Is he flexing his neck vertically or to the side? If it's to the side then I wouldn't worry. He's probably just popping his neck. I know that sounds weird but it's true. My horse (also named Sunny lol) does the same thing and I asked his chiropractor about it and she said some horses do pop their necks by themselves.

I think that's exactly what he's doing! That is so funny that we have horses with the same name that do the same odd thing! Thank you for your help!
