I have the exact same side pull. I love it, especially for breaking out babies.

One of these was tried on my horse and it skinned up his nose. The rider thought she was correcting his already correct head set.

I use that exact one on one of my horses. I wrapped the noseband in vet wrap to soften it a bit.. I really like it and my horse responds well in it.

I use this one
, which has a leather nose. I like it a lot! and never have problems with rubbing. Just FYI, if you want a really effective side pull, find one with a jowl strap like this
. Those ones are best, as the jowl strap keeps the sidepull from moving around on the horse's face.

I have this one I wrapped the nose band too but if you can get the leather one that existentialpony suggested i would go with that. The only problem I have with mine is that the nose band can get bent easily and stiff and is hard to get it back to the correct shape. Other than that it is great for the value. If you do get it and it bends out take a softball and tape it to the nose band for a day usually fixes it

Darn it! That looks pretty awesome! Now, how can I sneak one past my wife...:?
