Running or Plait?
1 Attachment(s)
I have an Irish Draught that I have a schooling show coming up on the 26th. I understand that braiding isn't required, but she has a double mane about 1/4 of her mane from bridle path on back.

Would you do a running braid with her or a plait?

Forgive the awful hands in this picture.. It's not up for critique, just showing the mane length spiel.

If you've not keen on pulling her mane to plaiting length, why not do a running braid?

Reading over my post I probably have members tilting their head like, "Why'd she even post that? o_O"

I don't particularly mind pulling her mane, I was somewhat concerned about it flipping to the wrong side and staying there. I guess I was looking to see what others may think look better on her.

It's on the correct side now, so it shouldn't flip over. At least, I've never had that happen...

Well I meant a quarter of her mane toward the bridle path likes to flip on to the left side (not pictured, 10/10 when pulling her in from the field 1/4 of it is on the wrong side. 10/10 at the end of a ride 1/4 of it is on the wrong side; if that makes sense) which was my concern of pulling it.

Either way - Guess I'll figure something out :)
