This is how we haul hay.
 

Well, did ~300 bales this morning in 3 hours (including driving time, about 40 minutes or so). Took dad's flatbed, 14' stock trailer, and 8' truck bed. Had 6 people loading and 4 unloading.

But, I figured it was a nice picture of how us people without proper hay trucks haul :p haha

I'm just glad I got paid (well, money off lease) instead of having to pay for it myself, haha. That would've been a month of my paychecks, haha.

It is nice and green..until you step in it and the mud starts to show. It's real wet up here.
Bales were definitely worth $3/bale. They were huge, tight, and HEAVY! lol

Excellent price! Funny, I just went & got 30 bales myself this morning from my stash at my daughter's. It is hovering @ -5C & a foot of snow on the ground, but I was stripped down to a t shirt by the time I unloaded stacked it by MYSELF! Just taking a break before I get ready to go to work, where I can relax, lol!

Oh geez..lol we all stripped down to our bottom shirts today as well. It's around 35-45F here though, haha.

we finally had a good day to move hay and got there no one can touch it because it wasnt covered and all froze together in our freeze thaw and freeze again cycle. Luckily it was just the cattle feed or else I would have been ticked about the mold that is sure to grow.

Also, figured it'd add to it, no elevator was used, neither loading or unloading.
Ill also add that I embarassed myself twice; couldn't throw the bales up with the bottom layer stacked on the truck, nor could I manage to climb up after the first 3 rows were stacked, haha.

what size of bales are they ? and they are grass hay right? we have alfalfa hay and the bale size is 100 to 120 lbs and each bale is 15-20 dollars a bale.
I have not seen hay at 3 bucks a bale for 40 years . and that looks like a lot of work ! we get a truck load at a time or squeeze so it comes to us . delivery is seperate .
