Yes, imo, you would look better on a taller horse. Buttttttttttttt..... I really do not think its hurting the horse, so ride if you want. I just think ratio wise a bigger horse would be better.
Not too tall, IMHO.
Your call on your horse's fitness, how balanced you are, how well the saddle fits, etc. A taller horse would 'look' better, but might not be better.
I know I look like a monster on my little 14.2 hand arab cross mare (I'm 6 feet tall) but she's a great little gal. If I could put her brain in a taller horse maybe I would, but last time I checked that doesn't work... ;) IMO, so long as you're not hurting the horse, a good brain is worth more than aesthetics.
This is a little quirk of mine which you might think odd but if you were riding her in english tack I would say you would look "too tall" however since you're in western gear, you look fine. If I may add, your position looks quite good but you might find a slightly longer stirrup would be useful for both aestethics and your balance/comfort.
How far are you willing to fall? I am 5'8" and I love my little 14.1hh arab. Not so scared to fall off of her and I can still *jump* on her bareback (it's really more like claw my way up). I'm the second tallest rider in our group but on the shortest horse :)
You are not too tall nor too big for this horse. Cowboys preferred a smaller horse bc it's easier to mount, and size is something of a personal preference. Some women my height (5'4" tall) and here on the HF, prefer to ride > 17 hands tall, some prefer 14 hands tall, I prefer 15'2hh.
I think that you could use a larger saddle, though, and your stirrups are too high.
Btw, I used to teach riding lessons and most of my adult students preferred to start on my big, barreled, 13'2hh pony, "Toma" bc he was wide enough to feel big, but short enough to easily mount.
My old BO is 6'4" and his favorite horse to ride is his 14.3hh QH gelding, so no, you don't look too tall. As long as you feel good on her, you're fine.

Thanks guys..lowered my stirrups and I feel much more balanced..working on losing weight but for my current size I only ride about 30 minutes at a walk on flat ground twice a week :)
