Anyone know of good WATERPROOF WINTER gloves?
I cannot seem to find a pair of winter gloves that are truly waterproof. I am tired of wasting money on gloves that say that they are waterproof, but leak or are really only water resistant.
If you have a pair that work for you, that are warm and waterproof, please let me know what they are and where to buy them. I do not need to be able to ride in them, just get my barn chores done.
I've used both the Whirlibird and the Dry Plus Gauntlet gloves from Cabela's. I haven't gotten wet even when picking chunks of ice out of stock tanks.

I'm the same. Have gone through leather ones, thermal ones, cheap cotton ones and they all get wet, dirty and generally really manky.

Love these. Got them for christmas. Very, very warm. Even when I was working outside in -20 weather this past week. And waterproof. I went through tons of pairs looking for some that were actually waterproof. I put my hand in the water tank to pull out ice chunks and all is well.
I've been wondering the same thing, so thanks for all the links:D
Regarding pulling ice chunks out of the tanks --- buy yourselves a heavy fishing net and use that to fish the chunks out.
I have a heavy rope-style net I used to use before I got the heated tanks. I also have a fish tank net to fish the hay out of the stall buckets when somebody head butts their hay into the bucket before I turn the lights out at night:D
I have a pair of these and they are by far the best gloves I've ever had. I've dug ice out of the tanks with them and my hands stay perfectly dry...and they stay warm too. It doesn't get as cold here as it does in other parts of the world, but in teen temps with the wind chill below zero, my fingers stay warm.
Plus, I don't lose much dexterity in these gloves like I do with others. And, they actually fit my hands. My hands are really long and skinny and every other glove is either too big around the palm or the fingers were too short. This one is perfect.

Changed my mind, I like smrobs gloves better!
Thanks for all the feedback!
I use the Heritage extreme winter waterproof gloves. They've been fantastic and very warm. Got mine for Christmas :)
