Hi I have a horse on trial, it had an injury 4 yrs ago that caused the hoof to crack and they used filler and said it has been fine. Well I've had him for 3 days and there is more cracks and like peeling. I wish I could post a picture. My trainer said he won't pass a pre- purchase and has to go back. The owner is saying it wasn't like that when he came... Any thoughts?

Without pics at least, can't tell you any specifics. May or may not be anything major or problematic. Filling the crack is only a cosmetic 'treatment', not something that will help fix the problem. Superficial cracks & 'peeling' are generally dietary/nutritional in cause & not much of an issue IME.
If you agreed to buy the horse knowing about the crack, then just because it's slightly worse to look at may not change the contract, but if you agreed subject to PPE & the horse is lame because of it, or the PPE sees it as a potential soundness issue, sounds like it may not be your problem anyway.
