Whats your fav. Reins to rope with.
Single or double?

If I'm team roping, just a single rein. Its just easier of me to have a smooth run with less in my hands. Ranch roping I use Romels, mecate, whatever the horse I'm riding is in.

I prefer single, but my dad always liked using split because you could unsnap one and use it as a hogtie if necessary.

I like single. I'm not a big time roper by any means but that's my preference with my limited experience.

LOL, I only ever use split when I'm roping, not really by choice though. I ride all my horses in split reins and I only ever do ranch/pasture roping. I don't often have the time to stop and change out my reins when I find a cow that needs roped:wink::lol:.

team roping or arena roping, I use a single rein, if I am in the pasture I use split riens....

Team roping, I always use a thin leather single rein, and there's been times I've been caught having to rope with split reins elsewhere.
