I tried to drive by an animal rescue centre...
The whole driving past an animal rescue thing doesnt work very well... something lured us in..
So my little girl falls in love with Shadow.. a giant ball of fluff with two eyes. I did wonder if it were an actual cat or just a ball of cat hair with some toy googley eyes attached. Apparently, it is an actual cat. She is estimated to be about 4 months old, and spent most of yesterday hiding from us. She appears to be intelligent and has decided my 18mo boy is crazy
So, we go to leave and there is this little meow coming from the cage on the way out... yeah... you can't leave with just one can you??
This is Snowy.. poor Snowy didnt like the cold and the rain and saw this mug coming  She's only tiny, about 8 weeks and appears to be settling into the indoor cat life well.
So today, while it's lashing rain, cold and windy, this is what our poor feline friends are being subjected to:
Who thinks they would rather be sent back??
Good for you for giving them a good home. They look like they have adjusted just fine.
THIS is the reason I'm not allowed to go to dog shelters "just to see" what's there
Congrazts, it's so wonderful you took them in, and they already look happy :3 Fluff balls with eyes make the cutest cats.
Precious! Good job! :-)
Yeah I'm not allowed in pet stores, shelters, or anywhere a "Free Kitten" sign might appear.

The local pet shelter has a female Siamese. I raised Siamese for 10 years and when my lovely cats passed on I vowed no more cats, more like no more kitty litter. And now this lovely lady awaits a new home. Argggh. Cat food and litter are so expensive where I live.
and people wonder why my parents don't let me go to animal shelters or pet stores. *sighs*
Thanks guys :)
Snowy the grey has settled in well, is a real love bug. Any chance for a cuddle, and she's there. Already litter trained as well, which is a huge bonus :)
Shadow is stil quite nervous and timid... and seems to come out a lot more when the toddler is in bed (wonder why that is lol!). Shadow is the typical cat - wants love on her terms only :) haha.
I have to say I''m enjoying having them, its been a few years since we've had a cat and hubby is very "anti-animals in the house".. but i stood my ground this time and so far nothing has been said :)
Oh they are adorable!
There are very few times I am actually glad my son is allergic to cats. Driving by the shelter is one of those rare times... otherwise I would get myself into soooo much trouble. :)
Aww....Great of you for giving them a good home! I volunteer at a no-kill animal shelter, and ack....I want them all!
My male Siamese was a champ at winning over people who disliked cats. He could pick them out in a heartbeat and sit at their feet and cry and cry until they'd cave in and pick him up. Then the purring would start. This wasn't purring in the normal sense, this guy sounded like a diesel with no muffler.
