What kind of bit is this??
Ok, so I acquired this bit in a trade and was told it was worth about $100.
obviously it is a shanked ported bit but any ideas on what it might be worth or the name of it? It has no maker.
It does look like a well made bit.
Ported correction bit. I ride my horse in one....
I can pick a good one up for $80-$100
As everyone above has said, that is a correction bit. It looks like a nice, possibly handcrafted one.
Here is a similar one I found on ebay.

Thanks FaceTheMusic and Muppetgirl!
I agree that it does look to be fairly well made though I suspect that it might be mass produced. Every maker I've ever seen that handcrafts bits will put his mark on it somewhere. If this one has no mark, then I bet it wasn't handcrafted.
I agree with Smrobs, and I'm pretty sure this bit is just your simple, mass produced correction bit. Maybe a professionals choice or something along those lines. But probably retails at 75-100 bucks..
As been mentioned, it's a correction bit. But we paid $30-40 for ours new at TSC. I know ours aint nothin special but it's the same plan.
