Arab/Quarter mix or POA?
This is Gracie a 2.5 yr old I acquired saved her from being a chew toy for her ex pen mates. The Lady I got her from said she was Polish Arabian Quarter cross. Other people think she is a POA. She is 14.3 hands high. Sweet and very loving until you touch her Hay. :-)
Anybody have any idea what breed she might be?
Hope I can get pictures to post
Thank you for any assistance!
Well Pics did not post
did you use cut and paste or upload from your computer or from photobucket?
I cut pasted the URL from my profile pictures to the post pic link, It did not work so I just pasted them to the add a link button so at least the links are on the post.
I uploaded the pics to an album on my profile then cut/pasted the individual URL's to the add a link button
I will try to post better pictures later today. Those were pics I snapped quick when I first acquired her.
It's is very unlikely that she is a POA - how did people come up with this? POA's are ponies, 14.3 hands is not exactly pony-size, and one of their most typical traits is some kind of an appaloosa pattern - while she looks solid colored to me. Not saying that there aren't any solid colored 14.3 hands POA's around, but in a guessing contest she sure does not resemble one. She doesn't even have the short, thick neck that is found quite often in POA's.
It's hard to tell with the pictures you have posted what she is, but I can say that she most likely is not POA. To oversimplify it, POA is a pony sized appaloosa. (I know, not in ALL cases, but just as a basic guideline).
I was thinking that same thing, a little tall from what little I know of POA, I was having doubts though because comparing her to pictures of POA ponies her head resembles the Pics I've seen.
Yes she is solid Bay with Blk Mane and Tail and socks.
I'm still working on getting better pics of her, The girls are loving the mud here. Rolling in it. I washed her down and groomed her nice and pretty and tied her in a big pen while I grabbed my Camera and little miss Houdini untied her lead rope and hit a mud puddle for her daily mud pack.
I agree, POA's display appaloosa traits and this horse definitely has none.
My guess at breeding would in fact be Quarab ;)
