Okay, so I have a bit of a story that A LOT of you guys can probably relate to. I am in a photography coarse for school, and I am suppose to take a few unique pictures or pictures that you would not normally take. I decided to go out to the farm in the dark to take pictures of Breeze, as she is a Black horse, and in the night.
Anyways, I went out there and called her, and she did not come to the gate... SHE ALWAYS COMES TO THE GATE!!! I was like Where is She???? So I went over, and I could see was a white paint, with a black head, and she looked like she was a headless horse. I decided to take a picture with the flash on, to see if the others were just in the dark somewhere, I could not see them!!! So I take the picture and I saw one more set of eyes, then 1 eye glow, so I was like, Ooops sorry Breeze for waking you, and then she got up and came to me...
Here is the picture I got of them while they were sleeping:
I am sure a lot of you have had the same incident, when you go out at night and cant see your horse...
Yup, been there done that. Gone out to check on them and one or two missing. Walk all thru the pasture only to find them just in the shadows where I first started looking.
They're probably thinking "What ya looking for? Did ya lose something?"

I've definitely done that before. I may or may not have had mini panic attacks during the day as well when I don't see them right away... lol ;)
I had a mini freak attack, because I know that the bay horse there has broken gates and fences before, just to go for a stroll, and I know Breeze would follow him if he did. One time (when I first got breeze, she was in a different pen) Bliss broke the gate and him and Robin got into a lot of grain, fortunatly they didn't get sick.
Another time, two times actually, Bliss broke the gate just to get Breeze out of her pen, Breeze came back with bite marks and scratches...
Oh no! That can be scary for sure, it sounds like you have an escape artist on your hands too! My boy has been known for busting out of every type of stall he has ever been in, and making his merry way straight to the feed room to help himself for a midnight snack. He also likes to jump my paddock fences whenever the opportunity arises - one day he jumped the fence and trotted himself into town and was grazing outside of a lady's living room window, neighed and scared the living daylights out of her while she was trying to enjoy her morning tea... lol. I got a call from my neighbour saying that the police were trying to get a-hold of his owner and they had a police officer round him up while I was on my way home from work to take care of the situation. *sigh*
hope you find your horses an d that they are safe
