nearly 2yo horse critique

Hey all!

Would like a critique on my filly who's nearly two. I only have this picture of her that is recent and, she's squared up pretty well. Though I believe it was photographed at an angle.

I'm taking her to a halter class on the 16th and would love to hear others opinion on how she's built.

Thanks!

Wow she looks so much better balanced than my 2 y/o gypsy xD

She's magnificent, I think she'll steal the show! I'm not great at conformation, so I'll let the experts give that advice, just wanted to say she's lovely!

LOL, thanks punkstank! I've got to admit I've seen your darling little gypsy more than a few times from various threads where you've posted pictures. His coloring is amazing! Do you plan to keep him?

Her shoulder is a tad upright and she's a bit straight through her hind legs. She's standing under herself quite a bit, both front and back, which is making her appear sickle hocked.

That being said, if she's this lovely at 2, I can't wait to see her when she's done growing!

she is uber cute, for sure. It may be the camera angle, but she looks kind of back at the knee.

Yup he's definitely staying for life :) He's turning into a bit of a hell-raiser now, but we're working on it!

Back to the OP - I think the camera angle is what makes her look so back at the knee, and her fluff :)

She looks 10x better than my horse looked as a coming two year old. I agree with what Drafty had to say, as far as her being back at the knee, I think she is standing a little bit under herself, making her look so.

She's gorgeous -- and I can tell by your expression in the poicture you don't like her at all:lol:

Wow. She's beautiful. But she does appear to be a little back at the knee. But she's only 2, so things can change. :)
