I had to rescue my horse today
I had to rescue my horse today. Was he caught in fencing, you ask? Nope. Fallen into a hole? Not that either. Was he being attacked by a pack of dogs? If only. -.-"
No, my little Einstein went into a pasture that they don't normally go into, and could not figure out how to get back out. ...Yeah. That's my horse.
I was on my way to "freeing" him, when he figured out where the hole in the fence (twice the size of a normal gate opening, mind you.) was and freed himself.
This is him running back to the herd.

Sigh, he reminds me so much of my arab (now deceased). My shetland mare broke all the rules of how a horse's mind works. It they get loose they will come to the nearest spot only to find their path blocked. They'll run back a forth a little and continue to the nearest spot. My shetland was trying to figure out how to get back in (she'd ducked under the electric), then she had an AHA moment, headed way down the field, galloping farther and farther away. She turned the far corner to a spot where the ground was low under the wire. She never slowed down, under the wire and up the field as fast as those short legs could go.

He would've figured it out himself, he just needed more time because he is "special". I love his tail, all araby!

Love that dragon noise they make. Is he barefoot in that snow? Our snow is so heavy, wet and sticky that it balls up in their shod feet and they won't hardly even walk they are somiserable. OR, it's very slick and they don't dare run in it.

Oh he's SAUCY! I like him!

Tiny- He does that roaring at the beginning of every lunging session too. He's such a show off. You should see him when he gets really excited. His tail flips all the way over his back!
I wish they had liberty classes at my tiny local town show. I think he'd kick butt!
Thanks DA! He's got high self esteem, for sure. My trainer likes him a lot, but did say that he would have been one pain in the butt stallion. :P

Oh, oops. Totally spaced over the other part of the question. He's barefoot. They've been having a little build up of ice in the hooves, but it pretty much falls out when they are running around. They like the snow a lot better than the mud! It had been 'warm' here for the last couple of weeks and was muddy. Well, that froze into a lumpy horrible mess. Mana's right rear pastern is all scraped up from trying to run around in the stuff. :(

He is stunning! Sounds like something my horse would have done though! lol
