had a hard night of clubbing last night!!
 

yup yup..my friends and i went to a teen club called Inferno!
we stayed out until about...12:30am

i dont want to go into detail on what was going on..but i'll just say that there was a LOT of grinding. and yes, i did my fair share :wink:

I remember the first few times I went out clubbing :)

I assume a 'teen club' is a club for under-18s (under-21s in America) that serves no alcohol and so on?

The first time I went out we stayed out until about half two. Half twelve is when the night's just getting started!

yea it was ages 14-20

and NO alcohol was there

I'm impressed that there actually was none! Here in the UK, at the very least you'd have people getting hammered before they went in. More likely they'd try for fake ID to go to a real club. Our drinking age is 18 but most people begin to drink much younger. I'm pretty unusual in that I don't drink at all, though it's not for any moral reasons or anything xD I go clubbing to dance!

I'm glad you had a good time :) Even though it's a teen club (how old are you, if I might ask?), make sure you get into good habits for when you start going to the big ones. And even in a teen club you run the risk of drink spiking and so on. So make sure you follow basic safety rules:

• Always keep the opening of your bottle or glass covered and in your sight. If you've left your drink unattended for a moment, get a new one.
• Don't go off on your own, even if he seems like a great guy. Dance in the company of a friend.
• Don't go wandering off on your own - just in case something is wrong.
• Always know how you're going to get home and have enough money to do so. Keep a taxi firm's card in your purse/wallet.
• Don't accept a drink handed to you by anyone but the barman or one of the friends you came with.
• Know how to turn a guy down for a dance politely but clearly.
• Handbag stays zipped up and tightly under your arm at all times.
• Check coats, bags, etc, into the cloakroom. Never leave them lying around.
• If you get separated from your friends, stand in a clear spot where they can find you easily. It might help to agree this in advance - "If I can't find you guys, I'll wait here."
• If at any time you feel unsafe, unwell or worried, go to the nearest bar or bouncer. Get a staff member to escort you and a friend outside so you can get some fresh air, and if you think something has happened to you, tell them so they can help you make the necessary steps that follow.
• Space out your drinks, and remember, tap water is free!

I'm not trying to scaremonger; it's just being safe, and guys should do it as well as girls. I have a great time when I go out, and I've never felt in danger, but I know that I have been saved from a vodka-spiked drink by a well-meaning but evidently foolish young man we'd made friends with in the queue. It wouldn't have done me any harm - he had no intentions for taking advantage of me and one well-watered shot wouldn't have done more than make me a bit tipsy - but it was still wrong of him to think of doing that. And when he suggested it to my best friend (he was going to ask the barman to stick a shot of vodka in the glass of water she was getting for me) she told him so.

The getting home thing is important. My university has a great system in place with the local cabs: if you're caught anywhere in Bath and need to get home and have no money and there are no buses, you can call or hail any taxi. They will take you up to the university, and Security will pay your fare. If you live off campus, you can just sleep in the library or something until morning, people have done it before and we have nice sofas there xD You pay Security back within a week - but it means that you will always have a way to get somewhere that's safe.

Good good :) Clubbing is great - I get intoxicated from the music, if it's semi-decent music - and there's a certain satisfaction that comes from stumbling into bed after a haphazard shower and with your ears ringing xD

I have some funny stories from it, too xD One night I got hit on by three different guys: a persistent guy who wouldn't take no for an answer, and his wingman started chatting up my best friend, and he just would not go away; then a guy who gave me this horrible sort of glare when I turned him down and kept glaring at me; and finally a middle-aged rather fat Mediterranean-looking bloke kept asking me to dance. I said no, and he picked up this skinny blonde thing who was the exact opposite to me* and picked her up and swung her around and I was so glad it wasn't me xD

Anyone else got any stories of terrible guys who tried to get it on with them?



* She was short, had long blonde straight hair and a fake tan, a microskirt, was very drunk, etc. I was sober, tall, brown curly hair, wearing clothes that at least covered what had to be covered xD
