If there were storks.......
I thought I would bring up a fun question for all of you mothers out there (including myself).
If you could have your kids all over again. Would you:
a) have the stork bring your children
b) get pregnant over again.
After all the puking, being uncomfortable and going through bodily disfigurement.....I would have gladly paid the stork to bring my kids.
How about you guys.......stork or pregnancy???
I had to think of this for all of.. .01 of a second - STORK!!
My body has never been the same after having my kiddies.. I hated pregnancy, hated labour, hate the way my body has changed. I do love my kids, but c'mon... a bird drops them off for me or I go through the PITA of pregnancy.. yup, I'll even buy bird food for the stork for afterwards :)
I loved being pregnant.
It was the complications that had me on mandatory bed confinement then the ER c-section after trying very unsucessfully to give birth and the complete medical wreck afterwards part that wasn't so great. :D
I can't do it again (Dr said no) so I guess it would be the stork for me.
Pregnancy all the way. There was nothing like that secret knowledge of what it feels like to have a little person inside of you, that special bond.
I don't care what changes happened to my body. I will not care when I'm 95 either. I will remember what it felt like to have that first kick, or turn, or flutter.
Having freshly popped myself, I would do it all over again.
I so second that feeling you get growing a child inside you- plus I think it gives you that added appreciation for the kid when they are out..
Pregnancy was pretty ok for me up until the last few weeks (haha as you know!), and I loved feeling him kick (when he was smaller). Heck I don't even mind the stretch marks (TIGER STRIPES!) the little man gave me towards the end..
I suffered from pre-natal depression pretty much all of the pregnancy, then I had a dreadful birth with post natal depression and PTSD until therapy and treatment when son was 4.
So..... I'd love to do it again, but with help and treatment and get it right.
Not going to happen though - I'm 43 as of yesterday.
Just have to enjoy the life I have now, and be grateful that I now have an understanding of depression.

Happy Birthday SSRosie!
Have you heard?? Women here are giving birth on up til they are 60 now a days!:-o
I hate to say it, but I DESPISED being pregnant. I H. A. T. E. D. every minute of it, both times. Wish it would've been the stork :(
I loved being pregnant. I had a fairly uncomplicated first pregnancy - did have a manual turn on a breech boy, and went to 41 weeks happily. With my second, I did have twins on board, so it was bigger and heavier, but again, relatively uncomplicated and got to 37 weeks. I would do it again in a heart beat, but three kids is enough. I would love to do surrogacy, but hubby couldn't deal with it, so that is also out.
