Does this baby look like a dwarf?

Little colt...about 4-5 months old in this photo

By that photo alone, no - but you say "4-5 months in this photo" so how old is the horse now and do you have more current photos or photos from other angles?

Being that he's dark and not parallel to the camera its hard to tell. He doesn't scream dwarf to me but there are a lot of minimal dwarfs with only a few small characteristics that are hard to see unless you know to look for them. Is his head more bulbous than 'normal?' Does he have an underbite? Abnormally short neck, large head, or roached back?

It's really hard to see form that photo but from the way it's holding it's head and looking at the back, maybe. I'd have to see a better photo though.

He's 7 mos. now and I'm waiting for better pictures. I'm interested in getting him, but not so sure about it if he's a dwarf

Here's a few other photos of him that are in the ad.

This first one was kinda what made me think it....it's the shape of his head....

I tried to edit this a lil so it was easier to see his head

I think he might be. Still hard to tell. I'm looking at his neck and head and then the back.

If him being a dwarf is a deciding factor on not getting him, there is one down the road from me that is about a gazillion years old. I don't think he's ever had any issues. He's very arthritic now...

Let me see if I can find a link to Killer...

Double L Tack Shop - Wilson Farms

He's on the front page of their site...

If I get some better pictures I will definitely post them.

I'm not against dwarfs per se, I just know they can have a lot of medical issues and I would want to be able to provide him with the best life possible.

I also have had a lot of heartbreak within the past year (I lost 2 of my dogs 3 months apart to cancer), so I'm just a bit leery.

That being said, if he is a dwarf he looks to be a minimal one compared to other photos I've seen on the internet.

Thanks for posting the link, it's good to see one that's had a nice long life!

Ok, I don't really think he is a dwarf any more. I received current photos. His head still seems a little oddly shaped though.

I hope the camera is distorting his head in this one.....

Not the greatest, but the best "side shot" I received

I think I'm going to pass on the little guy. He's 3 hours away and I want to be pretty dead set if I'm going to drive that "far".

Skyseternalangel 02-18-2013 11:52 PM

Is it just me or is the front right (our right) hoof/pastern/coronet HUGE compared to the front left?

AllegroAdante 02-19-2013 12:29 AM

Not it's not just you, I noticed it to. You can see it in the other younger picture of him too.

I asked the owner about it, but haven't heard back yet.
