My horse, Philly.
This is my horse Philly. She is a 14 y/o quarter X mare. From what I know, she was rescued from the Sugarcreek Auction at some point, where those people trained her to jump 3'6 and she won all kinds of blue ribbons..(which, is so not true as she barely makes it over 2'6) and then I've also heard (from one of her other previous owners) that they bought her from a lady who had her since she was one, and then she threw that girl off on the road and her spleen ruptured, and she was sold to the family I bought her off of. When they first got Philly, she was nasty. She used to run us into walls, she only knew how to canter on one lead..and once they fixed the issues on the flat, she crashed through jumps over 2'. I started riding Philly because "my" horse had a heart attack and died at the age of 30 on October 3rd, 2010. I bought her on March 20th, 2012 with the money my dad had left me (who also died of a heart attack on August 20th, 2011)
She's a wonderful trail horse though, and I can let anyone ride her in the arena with absolutely no worries what so ever. I did move her, after I bought her, so in some of the pictures we are at where her old owners kept her/where I work. Also, in some of the pictures I'm sure you'll notice she was underweight..that has since been fixed..and her feet are kind of a work in progess. When I bought her, her feet hadn't been done in 30 weeks (not due to her owners..at some point in her life she was abused, she shows plenty of signs, and is a bit of a witch for the farrier unless someone is holding her)
Me and Philly, with her old owner and her new horse, Hula! Hula and her are a much better match for each other!
Excuse the broken wrist..I got ran over by one of the lesson horses..
