Is my saddle in the right spot?
This picture is from about 4 months ago but I was just wondering if it looks in the right spot? I was also wondering about the girth being in the right spot or to far forward? thank you

Your saddle might be a little too far forward. The girth should be, on a horse, about 4 inches behind the elbow of the front leg, and should come straight down from the saddle rigging. Exception to this rule, a fat bellied Arabian or any big barreled horse, where the belly goes right up to their elbows, then you need to be very careful of saddle sores.

ok thank you! I only ride for like a hour at a time and we may trot for 5 minutes at the most lol. My horse is very lazy! but I always check for any kind of sores when we are done and haven't seen any. But I have always thought the girth was to far forward but it seems like thats always were it wants to go. I will try to move the saddle back a little. Thank you again!
