Solid door or not?
I am shopping for my first horse trailer and came across a nice newer two horse slant that I like and that has the options I am looking for HOWEVER the rear door is vented. As in it has slats at the top versus being a solid door. I have never used a trailer that didnt have a solid door be it a single or double. Is there an advantag eor disadvantage to this? I am just concerned as far as if there was a rear end accident would it be as sturdy?? Any input greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do you have a picture? As far as accidents, the doors are the least of your concern.

Until I bought my three horse slant when I came here I had never had a trailer that didn't have venting at the back. I much prefer a vented back door(s) for comfort of air flow for the horse.

If it's a well built trailer it's survival in a crash won't be affected by venting or lack of it.

Looks like a nice wagon. I don't see any reason for concern.

Thanks all...just havent personally seen it before but it does seem it would be better as far as air flow/circulation etc. I will go ahead and make an offer :) So great to have this group to bounce things off of!
