Tryptophan for horses

What are your thoughts on it? Do you use it? Do you know anything about it? I have researched it profusely and I cant find very much informative information. All I really know is that it is supposed to be used as calming supplement for horses... and thats about all I know. The reason why I am asking this is because Zoey is a VERY nervous horse. Its like the poor girl has anxiety and when she freaks out she FREAKS OUT she doesn't know what to do with herself to the point of were she has flipped herself over before(a mini with a cart walked past about 10 metres away).

Any ideas?
