i know my heel needs to be a lot deeper first photo is at canter and second is at trot
i also know my elbows are out in the first photo
Looks like you are pinching with you knee, relaxing into your heels will help drop the weight and open you hips up to relax an open that knee up.
Elbows need too be by your side, slightk chicken winged ;)
Remember not to steer with both hands but through your core and seat and looking where your going.
That about all I can fairly give with only these two pictures, video and more shots, both ways at all three gaits will be much easier to get more answers....
Cute pony! Your a good pair it looks like!
I agree with Klassic.
could you loosen the tie down? I mean, it looks like she can barely raise her head high enough to be balanced in a natural gait.
this is also at the canter
Your position has improved a lot since you have moved back to the states and you have bought your new horse. Isn't Wellington wonderful in the winter? Keep up the good work!
You're teeny... so if you were my student, I would have you sit your bum in the saddle. There isn't much of a reason for you to nearly be in half seat. Not to mention you don't look to terribly comfortable/confident perched in your saddle that way. a light 3 point is completely appropriate. I'm with Tiny as well... your martingale is much too short.
yeah i know about the martingale the one in the photo is not mine
Sit straight, don't fall forwards in any gait, and feel how your balance joins the horses balance :P
