New and Clueless!
I'm LeeAnn and my family and I live in Ohio. I have 5 kids, 4 dogs, and 2 cats. Hoping to have a few chickens soon, maybe 3-4 goats and most of all.....2 horses.
We just moved to our farm house about 3 years ago, and have been remodeling. Not totally done but ready for some farm animals! I have loved horses ever since I can remember. I have no idea about care, training, or behavior....so I have alot to learn. LOL
A friend of mine is giong to teach me about care and everything with her horses, and I am trying to find a rescue near me to volunteer at as well.
This is all so overwhelming and intimidating but I am anxious to learn and prepare my barn for horses.
If you have any suggestions for a newbie please, I'm all ears. Thanks!:-)
working at the rescue will be a great experience and you can learn from the people there. once you have some experience I am sure they will help you pick a suitable horse from their rescues.
having a friend teach you all she knows is a great idea and then she will be able to help you when you get a horse home too.
I would love to live in a house on its own land so I am quite jealous.
good luck with eveything.
Welcome to the forum, any questions ask away as the majority of people here are incredibly helpful and full of knowledge.
Welcome Lee Ann nice to meet you
how are you?
I am right there with you! And you're right, it is very intimidating. But it's a fun adventure. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only novice here :D
