Hi, I heard that if a horse has a long back and narrow butt it makes a good jumper, is this true?
No it doesnt.
There is a lot necessary for good jumper conformation, but a long back and small hindquarters are not one them. Long backs are generally very weak, and small hindquarters don't allow for much power to propel the horse over the fence.
