Quarabs and Morabs
Can anyone tell me pros/cons of Quarabs and Morabs? They both seem very intriguing so an information is appreciated. Thanks!
A Quarab is a Quarter Horse/Arabian cross and a Morab is a Morgan/Arabian cross. First thing to mention and make a mental note of is that neither is an actual breed despite what anyone claims. They both have organizations but do not have real registries like AQHA, APHA, Jockey Club, ect. They're basically appendix crosses like Pintabians. Morabs tend to be on the smaller side in comparison to Quarabs and more high strung. Morabs hold more of an Arabian look while Quarabs can look a bit stockier, especially if bred to foundation Quarter Horse lines.

Thank you for the information. Already learned something *smile*. Can you tell me more about the behavior? I know it depends ont he horse, but the general trend. Are they more like Arabs or Morgans/Quarters? I looked up their organizations and find they don't give very much information on that subject. At least I couldn't find it.
A lot will depend on whether the blood is on top or not ( whether the stallion is the Arabian or not).
Temperament will also depend on each individual and can look different from one animal to the next however they do more than most other cross breeds tend to breed a little truer in that many do have the same characteristics.
I owned a Quarab that was obvious Arab but had the stouter body type of the quarter horse. Luckily more of the right parts landed where you would want them and I was able to train him to GP.
