Popular English magazines & tack companies?
 

For a school project i need to know what are some popular english oriented magazines. Example: In the western and HUS pleasure world The Equine Chronicle and NSBA is very popular. Basically the "bible" magazine of the english world.

Also, what are some prestigious english tack companies? Companies that are not available in retail tack stores? The type of tack that is very expensive and can only be found through the company itself. Example (in the western pleasure world) Harris Leather.

I know there are different styles of english and im sure many different magazines & tack companies for each style. Any help would be appreciated

English as in the riding discipline? Or english as in the country?

There is Horse & Hound, Horse & Rider both of which are UK based. Horse Deals is Australian based but it multi discipline. I don't know of any US based magazines. Internationally - Horse & Hound is pretty well known.

English Style tack...
Kieffer, KN, Southern Stars, Bates. All of them do Dressage, Jumping and General Purpose saddles, with the Kieffer & KN ones being more expensive.

In terms of tack there is also Albion, Jeffries, Ideal, Passier... and then all the Master Saddler-made saddles etc. (I'm in the UK btw)

In the UK, dependent on age group there is Horse and Hound which covers hunting, racing, dressage,eventing etc. There is also Your Horse and Horse and Rider. For younger people there is Pony magazine.

Tack wise Stubben? is that what you mean? google Horsesense Solihull west midlands uk. They stock a lot of "prestige" tack.

I would add Prestige, Hennig, Schleese, Herm Sprenger, Barnsby, Otto Schumacher, Antares, Arc de Triomphe, Schockemohle, and Hermes.

CWD, Antares, Tad Coffin, Devoucoux, Butet, Dy'on, Marcel Toulouse, Eskadron, Stubben, Wylde, Tredstep, GPA, IRH, Tailored Sportsman, Collegiate, County, Black Country, Dalmar, Premier Equine, Equi-Fit, Herm Sprenger, Hermes, Mattes, Nunn Finer, Pessoa, ThinLine, Vespucci, Tailored Sportsman, Ovation, Warendorf......just the ones off the top of my head ;-)

As far as tack magazines, I shop mostly Dover Saddlery and SmartPak Equine.
