Need help putting prices on tack 4 Attachment(s) Hey there, I am doing a little spring cleaning and have a few pieces of tack I am wanting to sell. These were part of my grandpa's tack collection, so I am not the one who bought them, therefore have no idea what he paid for them! I would love any input as to how to price them! Thanks -1st is a really nice quality rawhide bosal with reins. I have seen these anywhere from $200-$400 so wasn't sure. -2nd is a silver yearling show halter. The leather and silver are really nice quality, not the cheap silver stuff! I did not see a brand or maker anywhere on it. 3rd is a Colorado Saddlery saddle. Guessing it is from the 1970s. Has a couple conchos missing which could easily be fixed, but overall in pretty good condition (just dusty). Comes with front and back cinch. It does have a serial number, but I haven't had any luck finding info on it. Attachment 132759 Attachment 132760 Attachment 132761 Attachment 132762 |
the Bosal I have one I bought almost just like it off ebay (buy it now) for $80 it had cotton reins I bought a sailboat rope medcate replacement for $25 so I have the one you have for $105.00 |
ok thanks! |
the saddle is nice and they tend to hold value when they are taken care of and older. as for the halter I don't know I have seen used ones here for $30 to $60 that look like that |
The saddle looks like a balanced ride saddle by Colorado Saddlery. I've seen balanced ride western saddles in good condition range anywhere from $400-$900. |
Ok thanks! Ya I was thinking $400-$500 for the saddle just because it could use a little work. |
