Sythetic sturrip straps?
I don't show and do a lot of riding at the beach and trails. I had a stirrup leather break on me the other day so now I'm looking for new ones. The ones I had were nice thick leather, not dry rotted of cracked or torn and they just broke for some reason.
Anyways, I saw a pair of nylon stirrup straps and other types of synthetic material straps. Does anyone use these? They're way cheaper than leather, but would they last?

I have used them before, they last longer than leather but if you do a lot of beach riding like I do the salt damage them pretty fast too.... I rinse everything up really good after each beach ride... that is the only thing that helped so far....

Are you talking about the nylon ones or another kind of synthetic?
I like the sound of it so far though, cheaper and last longer? heck yeah.

My niece used them for years on her pony never had any problem's, just keep an eye on them like you would normal leathers.

Easy to clean, and can last a while depending on the stress you give them. Wouldn't recommend them on a leather saddle as it the particular material they use rubs on the skirt of your saddle and wears it down quicker than leather on leather.
