Hello! I'm so glad I found this forum!
Alright, well, here goes a quick introduction!
My name is OrangishPinkishBlue, or Ashley. I currently own One horse who is a finicky Halflinger x Arabian gelding with way too much ego and not enough patience. My mother and step father have him on their property with their two horses, a registered American paint, and her filly. Whiskey, My horse, was purchased off of craigslist after I began the search to finally have a horse in MY name. I grew up around the gentle giants, and after moving away from them and going through the heartache of missing them, I now had the chance to have one again. Did that make sense? I hope so.
Anyway, Whiskey was the third horse I looked at and instantly I adored him. He was a 'pasture decoration' at his old house and was so calm and quiet when I went to visit I figured this right here was the horse for me. We were told he was a 3 year old gelding, that his mother and father had been local parade horses and that he was some of the smartest and calmest horse breeds mixed into one.
They lied. Well, at least about one thing. He IS 3. But he is not calm. Not only does he have Pica, he cribs, can jump over a 5 foot fence at a standing stop, as never been rode a day in his life and has the ability to hop in one place like a bunny rabbit, he bucks, kicks, bites, charges at, runs away from, breaks free from the pen, runs down roads when he succeeds to break the fencing, and also loves to chase after the neighbors cats.
This is the little trouble maker:
I adore him, he is just a lot to put up with, which is actually why I came here. I need help with him! But, I'll explain that in another post.
Aside from horses I have (currently living at my house) :
15 rats, 2 guinea pigs, 70 fish (hobby aquarium keeper), 4 dogs and a cat. C:
Anywaaay! I'll stop rambling now and go check out he rest of the forums!
Well, I have to say, he does look a little mischievous! But he is a cutie. It sounds like he can be quite a handful, but you will find a lot of helpful things on this forum. Welcome and good luck! :)
