Differences in three years...
Pretty much what the title says. I thought it would be neat to share this picture. It's the difference in the amount of snow for the past three years.
I love the pic from 2011! I'm weird and I actually like snow (says the person who lives in Arizona...). I could show you a progression of the same sort from my area, but unfortunately, they'd all look exactly the same. Brown and tan. No snow at all.

That's cool that you have the references. News was saying last year this time was 60* plus. Currently 30*. Well hopefully well grow some dang hay this year

We will (hopefully) never have that deep of snow in the pasture as it was in 2011 (close this year, but not quite). We had lilac bushes (14' + tall!) that we pulled out that summer.
That is great an interesting comparison. Do you have any pics of the fence on top of a fence!
ETA, Oh yeah, that IS the fence in a fence:rofl::rofl:
The fence on the fence is in the top pic. no red neck fence this year
Oh yeah! However, we still had a lot of snow in mid-March last year, but not nearly the usual depth. Much ado with the Great Lakes on that account though :)
The back part floods and the horses are fences off from that. Our ditches will be full. They've apparently told people in fargo to start preparing as they are expecting this year to be one of the top five floods for the area.
These two pictures were taken on 04/09/11 my place is behind the scraggly stick looking trees on the right. This is looking south. This road ended up closed shortly after this as it was completely underwater.
this is the glory hole in the Jamestown dam. Normally the water is like 20+ feet down from the intake edge... less than a week after this picture we had free flowing water into the glory hole which apparently hasn't happened in forever. (for ya'll that don't know, the glory hole is a safety thing to take excess water out of the dam with no control so the dam doesn't over flow and fail). This was taken 04/28/11.
I would experience snow that deep ONE time. then head south with geese next fall.
I am complaining about winter weather in the 30s and 40s. NDappy give ne 6 months of 100+ degrees over one week of snow that deep any day. Shalom
