What colored pad?

I was wondering if you could use a navy (really dark) saddle pad in dressage or is the traditional white better?

I would just go with the white :) Navy, no matter how dark, would still clash a bit with the black tack that is usually used with Dressage. The white and black contrast provides a nice, clean, traditional look.

Ok. Well I show BN and I actually don't have a seperate dressage saddle and tack.... So would white still be better even though my tack is a kind of medium brown?

White is traditional, though depending on your horses colour black or near black can also be used. Depends on the level. I would check with the rules and see if there is anything in there about pad colour.

White or cream is best. Very VERY rarely will you see another colour being used, except perhaps the odd black saddle cloth on a grey horse.

Yup, I'd always stick with white unless you have a gray horse. My tack is a chocolate color, lighter than havana, and I still use white in the Hunter and Jumper rings.
