- - Too big?!

I feel like my bell boots for my horse might not be small enough...She is 15 hands and she is right on the line for medium or small, so I picked medium bell boots. But after I velcro them on, I can still twist them a little bit and it seems like they drag on the ground a little bit ( they have grass and dirt stains on them and I only used them once) and when I take them off, it looks like it was rubbing her a little...? What do you think? Would a small be too small or is this how they're supposed to fit??

If they're dragging on the ground then yes they're too big, and if they're actually rubbing her it should be obvious they don't fit. I'd try a small, and remember that different brands size them differently so if the brand you buy doesn't fit another might.

Okay so I guess I will try a small...I can always make the small a little bigger if I have to though :) and is it okay if I still ride her in the medium bell boots that are a little big? I don't think they're causing discomfort and I won't be using them all the time.

If they're rubbing then they are causing discomfort. Just because your horse doesn't show signs of discomfort doesn't mean it isn't there. I vote no.

I agree. Rubbing bell boots and getting sores are actually incredibly painful, and then you would have to wait for them to heel before putting the new ones on. Leave them off for now.
