*Must Sell* gentlely used 16.5 inch (lancer) close contact/jumping saddle

i am posting this for a good friend that is in desprate need to sell her spare saddle so she can make some money to get her geldings hocks injected. The saddle was only used for a few lessons and was always well taken care of . . . it is a havanah brown lancer (we are not sure of the exact make) it has a regular flap and a regular tree . . . if you need to know any more please let me know.

what size seat? I've been looking for an english saddle for simple pleasure rides, but not sure if I can afford one at the moment

whoops....saw the size on the topic.

Do you think it would fit a high withered QH build horse?
Also I'm not positive if it will fit me :(

amandaandeggo 10-20-2008 09:37 PM

it should cause it fit her high withered gelding . . . shes just too tall for it . . . and regular is the average qh size tree . . . if you dont mind me askin how tall r u

5 foot 2
I am riding in a 15 inch western saddle if that helps ;)

Again I don't know if I have the funds at the moment because I had to buy some training stuff....but who knows...maybe my dad can give me money as an early christmas present

Sonny, the general rule of thumb is that for western you go up 2 sizes for english and vise versa when going from english to a western.
Though every maker and saddle is different.

yep yep yep shes right . . . im a hunter with a little bit of barrel racer in me . . . so i have both types of saddles . . . but the saddle runs on the bigger side . . . my 5.7ft friend can ride in it more than comfortably . . . and it fits her qh mare

appylover31803 10-20-2008 10:24 PM

if it was only half inch bigger i'd get it :(

amandaandeggo 10-20-2008 10:31 PM

allright . . . just pass on the news that is for sale . . . i have to sell it
