My body needs to loosen up! Help!

My body is in shock....just had our first jumping lesson in 3 months and going from the dressage saddle to my jumper saddle with way shorter stirrups and different body positioning I have realized that I need help with loosening up my upper body...

My neck is very stiff today...
My shoulders are sore and tight..
My lower back...feels like I have cramps but don't...

What are some things I can do to help my body?
I'm thinking of starting yoga...

I just know I can only go so far with my riding and improve only so much with not taking care of my body...

I want to continue to improve, step up my game, but need to get care plan for my small little body!

Any exercises, DVDs or anything you have to offer please do!

Yoga really helps. I find if I have a long day of riding, having a nice epsom salt bath does the trick as well.

I've heard good things about the Equibarre DVD. Haven't tried it yet, though:

This book also has good out of the saddle workouts in the back that really help open you up and strengthen you. It's full of other good riding tips, too!

I've also heard pilates and yoga are good. This woman does pilates specifically for equestrians:

Best wishes for your workouts!
