Does anyone on this forum have gaited horses? I have a gaited Bashkir Curly mare that does the "curly shuffle." :D Lets hear about em'!
I have a TWH
i have a saddlebred that racks on occasion :D
two Icelandics !
and I've seen them both perform all five gaits :) so w,t,c, tölt and skeiğ :D
4 Rocky/Kentucky mountian horses here :D Love em!
6 Standardbreds with 1 on the way :D
I curently only have 1 Tennese walker and Im hoping to be getting another one soon, If it hasnt sold yet.
Still very green but does the stepping pace thingy and has a ''pure'' tölt in there somewhere >_>and that speedy pace of course XD
I think this is the first or maybe second time we're doing anything faster than walk:P Maybe third but we really hadn't worked on it, so..XD And I hate that saddle XD
soo pretty :)
but tölt is the Icelandic gait,
dont standardbreds rack ?
You know, I tried to find out what he was doing (as you might know, in swedish there is only tölt, grisepass/piggypace and fygane pass/flying pace) and on the picture, it's stepping pace.. it's not piggypace, I know how that feels xD
Don't rack mean something with always only one or two feet on the ground, never more? the few short moments he's done ''tölt'' it has been three or two feet on the ground..
If you ask on Bukefalos, they say rack is the english word for icelandic tölt..
but I'm just completely confused! xD rack, tölt, stepping pace, foxtrot, running walk, piggy pace etc etc.. Aaah! It's much easier in swedish!
It is a gait; he keeps it and it has a clear beat to it.. (ask the gaited people here and nothing that's not exactly tölt or pace is a gait.. then it's only a disturbanse.. but as far as I'm concerned, it's not just some flaw or disturbance in the ''right'' gait if he can keep it on, gets it the same all the time and it as a completely different beeat to it..)
