Highland cows

I really want a cow. lol for a pet. But since my mom wont let me put one in the back yard I have to wait till I get my own place :(
I really like the highland cows I think they are cute and what not and arnt they suppose to be good "family" pets, friendly and stuff.
Has anyone had/have them or know of someone who has had them? Any info I should know before I get one ( when I move out )

Just so everyone knows I plan on getting:
Chickens
goat
Donkey
cow
When I move out my goal is nearly done cause ive got:
Horse
Pot belly pig
Oh thats the only farm animals ive got. Anyway sorry to get off topic just excited about my dream farm :D I can see it now!

i sure but if they are as friendly as you make them out to be then i think they will not have any problem with you brushing it out for em'....

Hey.
Yeah, I think the scottish highlands are cool - never laid eyeballs on one till I moved here to Connecticut.

They are beefers. No more friendly/unfriendly than any other cow.

Just remember that cows are a herd animal, and are more happy in groups. Here's a pic of my neighbors bull ....hansome fella, ainn't he?:D

Do a lot of people like having them? Are they easy keepers? Are they good mothers? What about bulls are they "easy" to main tain, I would think they would be like any other bull right? Ive never had cows before so I have no idea and so new to it!
