Need help with every thing hips down...
Ok I just wrote a lot explaining whats wrong and I got booted off so here is the short version.
Im doing something wrong with every thing hips down, at the posting trot. I push my feet outward instead of having my wait go down like standing up in my stirrups. My trainer said that its because my feimer (sp) bone isnt rotating. She said to practice rotating it on my own. Well it didnt help...
It feels like im doing it right but since I watched this video I saw what was going on. Any help with fixing every thing? Point anything out that you see is wrong even with Gypsy, I need to fix all this stuff.
I did start to do yoga a couple of days ago and my hips changes I dont know if they loosend up or something but every thing is different now. :???:
Here is a video, sorry there a tractor,people, its dark, and my mom dosent know how to work it. But its walk/trot/canter both ways and me just messing around doing different things...
Oh and Im not to sure if this belongs here or in the critique section but since im asking for help I posted it here.

From what I can tell, you need to stop moving around in the saddle so much. Even at the walk, your arms and legs are moving. Think about wrapping your legs around the horse's barrel and sitting deep into your saddle. Hands should be light but steady, toes forward. You seem to move with her a little too much, as if anticipating her next step. Let HER take you there. Back straight, think about sitting still and quieting your seat. More weight in your heels at the posting trot. Don't anticipate so much, think about slowing your post down a bit, not her pace, but your post. There's too much air between you and the saddle when you go up.
I notice Gypsy's head's all over the place, in this video. Sometimes its up and sometimes she drops it right down. I think you may be confusing her because your hands are unsteady. Try to keep them still. ;) Your horse actually looks really nice at the canter. She is a nice mover. Just try to sit deeper into the saddle when you canter though, wrapping your legs around her barrel and sitting back, don't let your hands move so much.
Sorry... I feel I kind of ripped you apart, but I mean it all in a nice way. :wink: Overall I think you guys look good. Your horse is very pretty and well put together from what I can tell. :-) Good luck!
Oh thank you! Im like WHOOO! No I totally get that! I didnt know I moved so much! My trainer always said to like relax and move with her, I never was told I was so loose if thats the word? I always thought I was moving the correct amount.
Ok so to much air in the post I can fix that.
I also thought I kept my hands still :roll:
And with gypsy we I could never get her to stay collected. I wonder now if its because my hands a are not steady. OH this makes so much sence!
Dont worry I asked so if I need a new one ripped then thats what I get but you helped a lot. But did you notice my feet? Do you see how they do out instead of up and down?
Oh Gypsy has such a smooth sitting trot, and then shes got a great tiny winy jog, its like how slow can you go!

I do practice trotting with out stirrups I cant sit to long without getting off balance but I can make it half way around the arena.
So With my legs instead of having them reach down (long) I should have them like the old cowboy toys a U shape. If that makes sence lol, but you know how all the cowboys walk like they are still on the horse. Not real live ones but in the olden day movies/cartoons
There should be a bend in your knee yes, but definitely NOT like that picture. His toes are pointed way out. Here is what your legs should look like:

Ok, im going out to the barn today (yay) so I can ride and work on this stuff....
Then later of when I think I got it I can take new video.
Maybe its with my knees, cause we know my hips a loose, maybe im gripping with them to much. Or they are not loose enough? Maybe thats why I was having my feet behind that line.
I would try shorten your stirrups a tad; Some of your struggle seems to come from you fighting with gravity to get out of the saddle. Your leg should have a nice 90 degree angle. I also think you are gripping with your knees instead of your upper thighs and pushing up with your stirrups instead of sinking down in your heel and bringing yourself up with your leg.
