I hate this.....

i have decided,
i HATE looking to buy a new horse!
i've been looking and looking and looking
and so far, i found one thats just been sold, one that i cant seem to get very much out of the owner and plenty that are just not suitable!
and i'm trying to find a horse before the summer holidays or before they're over cos i was hoping to ride everyday but if things keep going like this it will take years to find a horse!!
tell me your stories about horse hunting, good or bad http://vichorse.com/forum/images/smi...icon_smile.gif

and my horse that im selling hasnt got much interest, he was about to be sold but the people backed out, and now i dont have many enquiries about him, and then people who arranged to come see him today didnt show up http://vichorse.com/forum/images/smi...s/icon_mad.gif , and i just had a phone call from someone yelling at me telling me i was selling him for too much and that he isnt worth it purely because of his breed!

sorry about the long post

I agree, the whole thing sucks.. I'm glad I'm not there anymore.
Things will work out, mark my words. I believe everything happens for a reason; the horse you're supposed to find isn't ready for you yet, so it's taking a bit longer :)

Oh man, that does suck! I hear you loud and clear though. The wait is often worth it though. I wish you all the luck I can spare in both buying and selling.

Out of curiosity, what breed is he?

Where does that person come off yelling at you like that. What is his breed?

What area are you searching in? I'll keep my eyes out! What exactly are you looking for in a new horse?

katiiii 10-25-2008 11:30 PM

um he is standardbred,
but she only wanted him for grade 5 and trail riding, and i'm doing grade 4/3 on him and he is doing REALLY well.

travlingypsy 10-25-2008 11:43 PM

What is grade 4/3 and 5?

i definatly know what you mean it took me a year to find a horse that called out to me and i think i made a great personality match...though he had no manners but thats another story right now im not supposed to be looking for another horse but you know im just window shopping for now lol we are going to get another horse after winter i have one horse that is for sale near my house and im going to keep my eyes open and see if he is still for sale when spring rolls around lol
good luck!!!

katiiii 10-26-2008 12:14 AM

grade 4 3 and 5 are our pony club levels in australia, level 5 is the lowest group and level 1 is the highest group. then you go to EFA

travlingypsy 10-26-2008 01:34 AM

OH! I see.. I never went to ponyclub or anything like that.
