Wish us luck!
Well sometime next month (maybe Thursday if the weather is good) I'll be taking my level 1 Parelli test!!
I just got the saddling part good..well enough to let me pass, and everything else I think will be fine.
Here is what I'll have to do:
- Approach your horse from a minimum of 10 feet away
- Rub him all over with the halter and 12 foot line
- Put the halter and knot on correctly
- Play the 7 Games
- Use the Yoyo and Squeeze Game to have your horse back through a gate
- Run forward with your horse, stop and back up without looking at him.
- Saddle your horse Indian Style
- Mount from both sides, stepping up and down three times
- Dismount both sides
- Show lateral flextion
- Pushing passanger for 21 minutes
- Follow the Rail
- Emergency Dismount
Fairly basic and fairly easy....so hopefully we'll pass! Once I take the test and send it in...and get a responce back I'll let you know how we do

Here are videos of them...since I'd probably get you more confused if I tried to explain
Indian Style (1:43)
(but she was holding it wrong...only thing that she did wrong on that)

Ok, i get it now, thanks.
but trotting for 21 minutes, man i think i would fall over dead, lol.
oh and by the way the horse in the second video you posted looks strangely like my horse, which freaked me out a bit. :???:

I hope I do well also!! I know Sonny will do well!
Hopefully the weather will be on our sides. I'm going to try to get the riding part done first while the weather is nice and then the groundwork stuff can be done in snow if it has to be done.
