Starving a horse for personal gain?
*I bought a mare but diddnt by the colt*
sorry please try to understand i did my best..
I was on bedrest this last winter and asked two "friends to take care of my horses for me, alternating days. I told one "friend she could more or less lease the horses for the cost of her taking care of them and i would continue to buy feed and pay bording. My other friend is a horse lover but because of his disability he could make sure they had feed and water but couldnt clean up or exccersise them. one died and two days later the other one becames skiddish and her face was swollen. See post :
my other mare, gaind some lbs: http://www.horseforum.com/horse-trai...rained-147553/
but lost it and one friend said it was probably his fault because he diddnt increes her feed. now i dont think so because :
and then i found this post made by my "friend"
The mares helth was going down hill was going down hill, and the colt was 3 1/2
I now belive that one "friend" neglegded to feed my remaning horse, and wonder what she sees as the truth and what REALY is. I had my daughter january 29th, via c section. Notice her post about stopping was the 1-2 and yet the mare is about to die 2-14?
her looks... that day
I did the best i could do but I trusted a "horse lover" that couldnt be trusted.
What does all this mean? I dont understand..
Your friend blogged about you and lied about it?
I have to be honest here.....is anything ever your fault? You have slammed Jalter and now you are blaming your 'friends'.....really think about this....do you hold any accountability for any of this? I have read thread after thread of how everyone else has done something wrong.....what have you done wrong? Because the only common factor in all this trouble is you.
I'm sorry Speidel, I really couldn't understand a WORD you said. Could you maybe use full sentences and describe what you're saying, rather than bouncing back and forth and linking us to different threads?
Okay so I'm so confused....
Okay so your pregnant, and had some internal damage so you have to be on bed rest. So you asked a friend to watch your horse and feed it. So your friend was mad about he living conditions and so now she forgot/purposely didn't feed your horse?
So I'm not fully in-tuned with this. So if this was me this is what I would do.
A) Move. Or build a barn around your area so you can do the work.
B) Suck it up and go, unless this bed rest isn't a life/death situation I would go up to the barn and see my horse.
C) Sell the horse or lease it out to someone who can take care of it 24/7.
Basically that's the idea. Before she was in a critical stage of her pregnancy, her mare was loosing weight. She said it was because she was still messing with the grain/supplement rations, therefore wouldn't have to give her as much hay. When she figured out that she was at a dangerous stage in her pregnancy, she asked me to help her out.
I agreed, but she wanted the horse to survive on tiny rations of hay. I did as she said for a few weeks, but noticed the horse continued to loose weight. I upped the hay, and the mare slightly impoved in the short time. She got mad about the money the hay was costing her, and "fired me". She asked her other friend to help after that. Assuming she gave him the same feeding directions, that is why the mare is still losing weight. The guy who was helping her is a great guy who was only trying to help. He even payed for the mares hay when Speidel couldn't afford it. He went above and beyond what was asked of him.
Thankfully i was at the hospital when it ripped and we both made it out ok.
You never said that. And I would love to see a screencap of those messeges, because they never made it my way. Matt got mad at me about feeding her "too much" and you backed him up.
If you are on a windows PC, go to your start menu, search "snipping tool" and you can take screenshots with that.
