Ice

Bring your skates. Lol. The wind has polished the snow in the yard into a skating rink. Am I sick of it? You bet!

Go home Winter, you're drunk!

After a long but not so cold winter. I'm here to tell you, ain't nothing better than spring time in Tennessee.

It's headed your way too!:-o

Gunslinger, instead of my waiting for spring, how about I head your way instead. A slip on the ice this morning has resulted in a lot of pulled muscles, especially around my knee.

Dang, I honestly don't know how you folks up there deal with that. It's 75 degrees today here and supposed to be close to 90 on Monday...though it seems we have the same issues with the wind.

I'd go bat-sh*t crazy having snow on the ground for so many months out of the year.

More snow again last night, more coming Wednesday and again next weekend. This is unusual and its starting to make me crazy. We've had winter since the start of October (started early this year), so now that's going on 7 months of snow and ice that hasn't left once. Spring snow isn't unusual, but it usually melts within a day or so with warming daytime temperatures. This spring, it is cold, cold, cold here. Monday's low is forecast at -13 C (that is 8 F). We are not expecting anything above freezing until next Wednesday and then back to below freezing during the day for 5 more days after that. Walking outside is treacherous and riding outside is out of the question right now.

I am waiting for the ground to thaw so we can have our barn built, but there is still a good 18" of hard-packed snowy icy stuff covering the site. At this rate, construction may not begin until June.

I love living here, but this year I am seriously contemplating moving...

I have lived in Cali, Utah and now in Oregon. And I have to say, if you cannot have sunshine, snow is better than the Rain and MUD!!! But then again, I didn't have horses in Utah, hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :?

Hmmm... spring was SUPPOSED to come here, it was already above zero during few days. And when I woke up today..? It was snowing.

Um, hello, it's already April? I do usually like winter but would like to have spring here at that point, like it should be.
