Californians, do you know that feed?

Nevada too, for that matter;-)
EGM stable mix
I found a new feedstore today and they carry this feed, 50lb bags and 250lb barrels. Very economic in the barrel!
Doesn't look to bad, corn- and molasses- free, and around 13% NSC
Anybody feeds it?

Elk Grove Milling? They're pretty dang close to me, we have fed them in the past, and we loved it! I have an air fern now and I dont use it haha

Good to hear:-)
my air fern no, the other two yes....50$ for 250 lbs is a pretty good price....I'd say:-)

MsBHavin 04-05-2013 07:54 PM

Its an awesome price PLUS if you look at their site they've got a deal going buy a few bag(s)/or a barrel and get a bag free.

deserthorsewoman 04-05-2013 08:07 PM

I've seen that...I'm almost ashamed to take the offer, lol

They don't sell it here but I am going to Reno this week and I see they sell it there, I am going to get some! That's cheaper than what I am feeding now and looks just as good or better than what I am feeding now.

I liked the ingredients...roughage based, grain free, molasses free. I'll give it a try, definitely.
Si that trip was a double success....found hay much cheaper there, too;-)

14 instead of 21 for grass
14.50 instead of 19.50 for alfalfa
13.50 instead of 15.50 for oat.
BIIIIG difference:-)

WOW! I'll say, that is a huge savings!
My boss has been bringing me 1000# bales of organic alfalfa for $100. The price is right and he delivers it to the house but it's a little too hot. It's getting to be slim pickins around here, so I can't wait until the hay is laying on the ground here.
Hubby has been in your neck of the woods for the last two weeks gathering and shipping yearlings, said you guys got a little rain and some folks got their first cutting rained on :-(
