coloring out?? i was brushing abby today and noticed that she is getting a really light color on her neck..some what like a grula color, her dam is a buckskin and her sire was a dark bay almost black (so i've been told) he was hit by a semi one night so i really don't know...it's just strange that this pony is pockadoted with dirent colors.....sort of like a solid paint with no white.....can it take this long to reach her true color? |
Depends!! My filly is a Palomino and she can go from a REAL chocolate Color and then she goes this light palomino.. and then a Rich golden Crome colour!! Here is some Example's Chocolate pally - http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...ics/Mine11.jpg Changing into a True pally http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...hismorning.jpg If you go through you're horses line's and check back a bit and research about colour Genectic's it might help you. |
My horse changes colors too. In the summer she's a deep brown and black then in the winter she turns s copper brown. Right now she's a burnt copper color cuz she's shedding but her summer coat is coming in black. It's funny. I used to have a palomino that was solid white in the winter then in the summer he turned into a beautiful golden color. |
this is diamond a horse at the stable i board at and he changes color too in this put he looks red pretty red but he can be a dark chestnut or a bay color as well it;s really weird and his tail will look black some times and redish some times ...it's very odd but he is a sweety http://www.horseforum.com/userpix/15...ture_127_1.jpg |
