In Defense of Blondes
A young ventriloquist is touring the clubs and one night he's doing a
show in a small town in West Virginia.
With his dummy on his knee, he starts going through his usual dumb
blonde jokes when a blonde woman in the 4th row stands on her chair and
'I've heard enough of your stupid blonde jokes. What makes you think you
can stereotype women that way? What does the color of a person's hair
have to do with her worth as a human being? It's guys like you who keep
women like me from being respected at work and in the community and from
reaching our full potential as a person. Because you and your kind
continue to perpetuate discrimination against not only blondes, but
women in general...and all in the name of humor!!'
The embarrassed ventriloquist begins to apologize, and the blonde yells,
'You stay out of this mister!!! I'm talking to that little idiot on your
Hey, hey, hey....I used to be a blonde. I could no longer call myself blonde after I turned 19. Every once in a while my blonde roots peek out.
Hahaha! I never understood where did this "blondeness" came from?
The joke was funny strangely enough. ;-)
It's like all stereotypes, I think. You meet a coupe of people with a certain characteristic and you assign that characteristic to all similar people. Kinda goes for stereotypes and prejudices.
I was helping a lady at work the other day. She has a bad landlord who was making sexual advances towards her. The lady told me that she would never rent from a black man again because they only had one thing on their minds. This was the second landlord she'd had this problem with. I told her that, no, she'd just had two bad landlords and that there are good an bad people of all races and sexes. The lady I was helping is black herself.
So, blonde jokes are just being silly. But these types of jokes are probably rooted in old prejudices. I laugh and say my blonde roots are showing when I do something ditzy.
ah right Gotcha! (not sure if the word "Gotcha" exsist, I just made up from "Doncha" which Regal explained earlier to me :-))
lol I'm pretty sure gotcha exists!
I was all excited when I saw the title of this thread... and then I read it *sniff* some people really have it in for us blondes. There's laws preventing discrimination on the grounds of race, age, mental state, sexual preference etc but NONE about hair colour... so unfair lol But seriously, I liked the joke!
Three blonde friends died together in a car wreck. They found themselves standing in front of the pearly gates with St. Peter. He told them that before they could enter heaven, they had to tell him what Easter was about.
The first blonde said, "Easter is a big holiday where we give thanks, have a big feast and eat turkey."
"Nooooo," said St. Peter. "You don't get in."
The second blonde said, "Easter is the holiday that we celebrate Jesus' being born of the virgin and give gifts to each other."
"Nooooo," said St. Peter. "You don't get in, either."
The third blonde said, "Well, I know what Easter is all about. Easter is a Christian holiday which coincides with the Jewish Passover. After Jesus celebrated Passover with His disciples, He was betrayed by Judas and turned over to the Romans. They crucified Him on a cross. After He died, they buried him in a tomb and put a huge boulder in front of it."
"Very good!" said St. Peter.
The blonde continued. "Now, every year, the Jews roll the stone away and Jesus comes out. If He sees his shadow, we have 6 more weeks of basketball."
St. Peter fainted!
As usual didn't understand it at all. I can't figure out if you are telling jokes or stories?...haha :-)
Oh, man, that's awful!
Jehanzeb, you do not have to understand, Just Laugh.:lol:
